How to Play Dominoes – Basics of the Game

Dominoes is a game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and it is a great way to spend time with family and friends. The object of the game is to score points by matching tiles with the same number of dots, and the game can be played with two to four players.

Tiles:

Each tile has two sides, and each side has a different number of dots. The dots on the tiles are also called pips, and the number of pips on each tile ranges from zero to six. Another way to play dominoes is to set the dominoes up in a row, and then take turns drawing dominoes from the end of the row. The player who draws the domino with the highest number of pips wins the round.

 Boneyard:

The boneyard is the name for the place where the unused tiles are kept. The best way to keep track of what you’ve played and what you haven’t is to keep the played tiles face up and the unplaced tiles face down. You can also put the unplaced tiles in the centre of the play area if you’re playing with more than 2 players. The boneyard keeps track of what you’ve played and what you haven’t.

Played with two to four players:

  • If you are playing with two players, each player will need a set of dominoes. If you are playing with three or four players, each player will need a set of double six dominoes.

To begin the game, each player will need to shuffle their daftardominoqqand then place them in front of them, face down. Each player will then draw seven dominoes and place them in front of them, face up. The player with the highest double will begin the game.

Highest double will begin the game:

To play the game, the player with the highest double will place their first domino on the table, and then the player to their left will play their first domino. Play then continues clockwise around the table. If the player cannot play a domino, they will need to draw a domino from the boneyard. The first player to play all of their dominoes wins the game. The player with the lowest score at the end of the game is the loser.
